The Stevie Business Awards, dubbed by the New York Post as “the business world’s own Oscar awards,” has set its focus on the Asian business community as it launches the first-ever Asia Pacific Stevie Business Awards.
Created in 2002, the Stevie Awards were made to honor the achievements and positive contributions of organizations and business people worldwide. Beginning with the American Business Awards in 2002, the International Business Awards in 2003, the Stevie Awards for Women in Business in 2004, and the Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service in 2006, the yearly awards has been judged by top executives, association leaders, business press, and business academics around the world. Past judges include Donald Trump, Tony Robbins, and Gary Hamel, who participate in an evaluation process of nominees that takes several months.
For the first ever Asia Pacific Stevie Awards, the list of judges include several illustrious names in the Asian business community, among which are some leaders from Filipino business groups and marketing organizations.

According to Stevies President Michael Gallagher, the independent organization behind the Stevie Awards launched the Asia Pacific Stevie Business Awards to internationally recognize the good business practices that have contributed much to Asia’s monumental growth.
Asia is currently the world’s most robust economic region; it is the largest continental economy by GDP, and is home to some of the world’s fastest-growing economies.

Just like previous Stevie awardees, winners of the Asia Pacific Stevie Awards will benefit from the recognition within the highly competitive Asian business community. Categories include Technology Company of the Year, Manufacturing Company of the Year, Services Company of the Year, Government or NGO Organization of the Year, Fastest-Growing Company of the Year, Exporter of the Year, New Consumer Product of the Year, and New Consumer Service of the Year, among many others.

Entries for the Stevie Awards Asia Pacific are now being accepted. Deadline is February 19, 2014, but late entries will be accepted through March 12 with payment of a late fee. Winners of the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevies will be announced on April 1, following the initial round of judging. The region’s Grand Stevie Awardees will be announced during the much-awaited awards banquet, which will be held in Seoul, South Korea in May.
