We all know that mompreneurs are some of the most hardworking people in the world. After all, they not only have to take care of the everyday affairs of their home and families, they also have to run their businesses as well. This is why Mompreneur Manila thought that it was high time efforts were made to recognize the unwavering efforts of these passionate individuals.
Last July, Mompreneur Manila opened the nominations for the 2013 Mompreneur Awards. The qualifications set were quite simple: the nominee must be an active mom with a successful business, that’s been operating for at least one year. Online nominations were accepted in 4 specific categories: Brand Positioning and Strategy, Brand and Product Innovation, PR and Word of Mouth Marketing, and Social Mompreneurship and Advocacy, until August 24, 2013.
The list of 17 pre-screened Semi-finalists were posted on the Mompreneur Manila website, and online voting was done from August 27 to September 10, 2013. The result of the online voting comprises 20 percent of the final result.
The other 80 percent is the result of the evaluation of our panel of judges which consists of incredible individuals who have made an impact in their respective fields: Amor Maclang, the founding director of Geiser Maclang Marketing Communications, Anton Diaz, the publisher of Our Awesome Planet and the co-founder of Mercato Centrale, Janette Toral, the woman behind Digital Filipino, Krie Reyes- Lopez, the maker of Messy Bessy, and Entrepreneur advocate and consultant Jorge Wieneke.

Results were computed and from 17 nominees, we are proud to have awarded the 4 winners of the First Mompreneur Awards during the Mompreneur Summit held last September 14 at the Blue Leaf BGC:
